babe (slight pause)
then into the deep
cascade (the jaws)
Now I can taste it
i know it’s real, the feels
that’s why i can’t sleep
i sit here and log every word
(In my head)
i’m hoping to steal
(all the lines that you write)
so I can live on
Your songbird
where the waves break
and the tides roll
like you make love roll off my tongue
So I just close my eyes
and let it begin
Because now
you are moon
you are sun
my universe exists not
when you’re not around
And how i wish my heart would recover
You and you plead
for me to just let things be
Why won’t you lay down and
just be my lover
all the flowers in the spring
In summer
In fall
can never compare
to april, may, june on your skin
I wish to know
The complete semblance of you
How it beats
(Your still heart)
From within
i wish to know how you wake
how your eyes see the world
or if you take milk in your tea
is it pure sugar cane
Is it nectar, sweet honey
don’t tell
SHOW me how we can be
